Former Caerphilly Police StationAvison Young, acting on behalf Linc Cymru, hereby give notice of the intention to apply for planning permission for the development of 37 no. residential dwellings, together with associated parking, landscaping and ancillary infrastructure at the site of the former Caerphilly Police Station, located off Mountain Road.

The site extends to a total of some 0.39 hectares (0.98 acres) and was formerly occupied by the Police Station and its surrounding curtilage, which has now been demolished. It is proposed to redevelop the site with 37 no. dwellings, comprising 34 no. apartments and 3 no. houses.

The proposed residential scheme would incorporate a mixture of general needs affordable housing, private market dwellings and specialist accommodation for occupants in need of health and social care support.

A public consultation event will be held at Caerphilly Golf Club, Mountain Road, Caerphilly, CF83 1HJ on 16th January 2020 from 4pm – 7pm. Please come along to view the proposals in an open forum and pose questions to the developer & design team. Your feedback at this event will be taken into consideration and reported as part of the Pre-Application Consultation Report that will accompany the forthcoming planning application.

CONSULTATION RESPONSES

We would be grateful to receive any comments you may wish to make on the draft proposal, which has been placed on deposit for a period of 28 days. Anyone who wishes to make representations about this proposed development is encouraged to either:

Please note the deadline for consultation responses is 15th January 2020.

Following the deposit period, any subsequent planning application will be publicised by the Local Planning Authority (LPA); any comments provided in response to this consultation exercise will not prejudice your ability to make representations to the LPA on any related planning application.
